Textbook: "Pascal Programming and Problem Solving", Leetsma & Nyhoff Grading : Labs 35% Mid-Quarter 25% Final 40% (7) Grading Policy : All labs and exams for this course are individual projects, not team efforts. You may seek general help from the instructor, the TA, or another student provided that the product you turn in for grading is the result of your own effort only. Consulting with other people must be limited to asking questions, not writing actual language statements. All exam responses are to be solely your own effort. Violations of this policy will result in a 0 for that particular lab or exam and, for egregious cases, an F for the course. Incompletes : Incompletes will be given only in the event of circumstances beyond the student's control and only by prior arrangement. Incompletes cannot be given for the purpose of improving a student's grade or because of a heavy course load. Labs : Each student will be given a computer account on the IT Suns (included in tuition of class). You can do all your work on home or office computer if you'd rather. You can access your Sun account thru modem; you can also use diskette from/to home computer. All students will be required to have an executable of their programs available in their home directory on the IT Suns for easy grading. Due Dates : Due dates will be strictly enforced. All labs must be turned in at the beginning of lecture on the date they are due. Turning an assignment in one week late will cause 50% deduction.
